Biography
Rob is Managing Director & Head of Life Sciences. He leads a specialized team focused on providing financing solutions to the life sciences industry, including royalty monetizations and investments across the capital structure in commercial-stage biopharma and medical device companies.
Rob joined OMERS in 2008 as Principal and Team Leader of Healthcare Equity Research; he subsequently served as Director of Research and Co-Head of the Fundamental Equity Team within OMERS Capital Markets.
Before joining OMERS, Rob was a Portfolio Manager at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB), an Assistant Portfolio Manager at Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, and an Equity Research Associate at RBC Capital Markets. Before his experience in the capital markets, Rob worked in the pharmaceutical industry at GlaxoSmithKline (Canada), where he was the lead analyst for the company’s $300 million respiratory franchise.
Rob is a CFA® charterholder. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Science (BMLSc) from the University of British Columbia, and an MBA from the University of Toronto.
