Biography
Lip Jin joined OMERS in 2021 to spearhead the efforts to expand OMERS trading operations globally into the Asia-Pacific region from a cross-asset perspective. Working closely with the regional and global OMERS teams and external counterparties, Lip Jin liaises with various teams in areas such as operations, business development, trade support and performance reporting to establish OMERS Asia as a key counterparty and investor across Asia-Pacific.
Prior to joining OMERS, Lip Jin had 13 years of trading experience on the sell-side where he was a credit trader at Bank of America and Nomura. Lip Jin ran the IG trading team at Bank of America and spearheaded business expansion initiatives such as SGD Credit and CNH/RMB credit market making.
Lip Jin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Chicago and is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
