Avi is responsible for sourcing and managing investments as part of the Global Credit Team within OMERS Capital Markets. Currently, he leads the Structured Credit strategy, and closely collaborates with the Capital Securities and Leveraged Finance teams within the Global Credit portfolio.

Before joining OMERS in 2018, Avi spent nearly a decade at a Toronto-based fixed income hedge fund, primarily focusing on investments in the capital securities of global banks. Prior to that, Avi spent four-years as an M&A investment banker.

Avi graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Western Ontario. Later, he obtained his Master of Finance from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. Avi is also a CFA Charterholder.
