New York, October 3, 2022 – OMERS Capital Markets recently announced the appointment of Prabha Ram to Managing Director, Global Equities, as part of its commitment to expanding its presence in New York. Representing almost half of OMERS balance sheet, and with public markets as its anchor, OMERS Capital Markets pursues innovative investments on behalf of OMERS, the defined benefit pension plan for municipal employees in the Province of Ontario, Canada.

Reporting to Kannan Venkataramani, Senior Managing Director, Global Equities, Prabha will lead the overall management of the Core public equities portfolio, contribute to the development and evolution of its investment framework, and help build a best-in-class capability to generate consistent long term returns for OMERS members.

Prabha served as Vice President and Portfolio Manager at American Century Investments, where she co-managed a U.S. focused dynamic growth strategy. Prabha has a bachelor's degree in computer science and engineering from the University of Madras and a master's degree in computer science from the University of Maine. She also earned a master's degree in business administration from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. She is a CFA® charterholder and a member of the CFA Institute.
